FAQ

How do reservations work?

The Mid-Ohio Boat Club is truly unlimited boating. We allow up to 3 rolling reservations at any given time. Simply put – you can have 3 reservations at one time. Once you use one, you free one up. You may book up to 6 months in advance!

How long does each reservation last?

Reservations can be made for the following time periods each day:

  • Morning: 9 AM to 1 PM
  • Afternoon: 1 PM to 5 PM
  • Sunset: 5 PM to 9 AM
I only want to replace my carpet with vinyl. Why do I need new plywood too?

So your decking is solid, and you just want to replace the carpet with vinyl? Unfortunately, when you go to remove that carpet it's likely that you'll be pulling up pieces of the deck with it. Marine-grade glue adheres very hard, and does not come up easy. That's why we always recommend replacing the entire deck with new plywood and hardware to ensure that there aren't issues down the line.

How many boats are there per member?

There are a maximum of 7 club members for each boat at each location to minimize scheduling conflicts.

How long is the boating season?

Boat club members must be 25 or older. If born after January 1, 1982 a valid Ohio's Boaters License is required to operate any boat above 10 HP.

Who is able to use my boat under my membership?

Boats can only be used by the club member and one named second person (spouse, family member, friend).
