Charles Mill Marina teams with Make-A-Wish to make a child’s dream come true

Charles Mill Marina is proud to partner with the Make-A-Wish foundation to fulfill the wish of a child who wanted a fishing boat to be able to fish and boat on Ohio lakes.

“We were honored and humbled to have the opportunity to make a child’s dream come true,” Bob Schraedly, owner of Charles Mill Marina said. “When Make-A-Wish approached us about helping make this dream into a reality it was something that we were all very enthusiastic about. Boating and fishing are a great way to spend time outdoors, making memories with family. We know that Aaron and his family are going to have a great time with their new boat.”

Aaron is now the owner of a Starcraft Patriot DLX 16 fishing boat, complete with a 25 horsepower Yamaha outboard and a Minnkota trolling motor. An additional $180 was raised by donations at Kid’s Day at Charles Mill Marina, which allowed Aaron to gear up on fishing tackle and equipment.

“We’re so grateful to Charles Mill Marina for helping make Aaron’s wish for a fishing boat a reality,” said Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana President & CEO Stephanie McCormick. “We couldn’t grant life-changing wishes for kids like him without community partners like Charles Mill Marina. Aaron’s wish will allow him to make precious memories with his family for years to come. We’re sure that his wish will bring him hope, joy, and help him catch some big fish!”
